No need to apologize dear fellow... I did not exactly say that anyone in Akron/Family smokes dope. Besides this hardly has much to do with the review. There are plenty of bands I like that smoke, and others that don't. I don't smoke the Doja. What is relevant is that they have a psychedelic style. Relating personally to me (not to you or Akron/Family might I add) Love is Simple reminds me of a time in my life long since gone. Then, this record would have made a huge impact. But I have since divorced much of myself from that past so it is hard to attach myself to the music when I find the record in many ways trite, hollow, and sophomoric. I have great respect for this band and the people and events of my past, but that does not mean that I haven't learned from it or that I haven't associated certain emotions with it.

I said...

"Break out your peyote people, on record three from Akron/Family you are invited to travel down a road paved with the psychedelic blood and bones of hippie herb chiefers and the aspiring legions of rustic commune dwellers alike."

...because Akron/Family seems to derive much of their style and influence from prior bands who used happy pills. I recognize that the band travels down a road paved with the blood and bones of musicians from another era. An era where psychedelics were the norm, and they invite us to join them with Love is Simple. We all stand on the shoulders of giants, even ones who puff on spliffs. I hope that clears things up. Thanks for the comment.
